Control Panel
The panel incorporates all of the zoning, appropriate boards, and modules necessary to operate a fully functional system. All wiring is run to this central location.
A panel has the ability to offer a partitioned system, control lighting, sprinklers, thermostats, and arm/disarm capability away from the property. Today’s technology allows the incorporation of hardwired and wireless devices using one system, multiple user code access, paging system, and open/close tracking.
Keypad
The keypad is your central processing unit necessary to control the operation of your system. Today’s technology allows keypads to have voice annunciation, alpha numeric display, touch screen, one button access.
Keyfob
This device allows the customer to arm, disarm, hit the medical or panic within a range of their property. This device is a mini-keypad and usually carried on the customer’s keychain.
BURGLAR DETECTION DEVICES
Door or Window Sensor
The sensor detects opening of a frame from a closed position. This device can be hardwired or wireless.
Motion Sensor
Detects movement programmed by several patterns including spray, curtain, 360 degree. A motion sensor can also be pet immune sensitive up to 80 lbs. This device can be hardwired or wireless.
Glassbreak Sensor
Detects breakage and/or vibration of glass. Today’s technology allows a device to cover an area of 20’-25’ without obstruction. This device can be hardwired or wireless.
Photo Electric Beam
Detects the breakage of a beam usually placed low to the ground. A photo electric beam is usually applied for commercial applications. A photo electric beam can be used for indoor or outdoor design.
Hold Up Sensor
Detects an emergency need sent to the U.L. listed central station. This device is initiated by the user in extreme situations. The U.L. listed central station will not notify the customer of receiving the signal – the operator will dispatch immediately.
Exterior Sensor
Today’s technology offers wireless detection and annunciation devices separate from the security system. The most common wireless device has an exterior motion range of 1,000 feet.
FIRE DETECTION DEVICES
Smoke Sensor
The device detects filtered gases and smoke to signal a fire alarm. The device can be hardwired or wireless.
Heat Sensor
The device detects a sudden rise of heat in a specific area. The device is designed to be placed in an attic, garage, basement, kitchen, laundry room, or crawl space. This device can be hardwired or wireless.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEVICES
Carbon Monoxide Sensor
The device detects high level of carbon monoxide. This device can only be hardwired.
Temperature Alert Sensor
The device detects low/high temperature range. This device comes in all levels of computerized detection.
Water Sensor
This device signals a water level warning. This device is usually placed in a basement, or near water heater.
SOUNDER DEVICES
Siren Sensor
This device comes in various wattage of sound. This device can be used for internal or external design.
Strobe Sensor
This device is triggered via other life safety signals. This device assists the customer and public with determining exit strategy.
